Holding the World Together

Susan Woolfenden Hamilton is a painter. She has been painting seriously from the age of 13. Susan later studied Drawing & Painting at the Ontario College of Art and Design (1964-1967).

Susan  was an art and design teacher part time, for community colleges,

St. Lawrence College, Algonquin College, & Kemptville College of Agriculture and Technology (Herb Culture) (1984-1993).

Susan worked as a scientific illustrator for National Museums of Canada and other institutions.  In that time,1976 -1995, she also pursued herb culture and illustrated three books, The Tuniit, The Herb Cook Book, and The New Herb Cook Book.

She paints life energy. Her illuminations are documented in unique, often dissimilar ways. The only obvious continuity is colour.

My focus after a lifetime of working as a scientific illustrator & teacher of the visual arts comes from a non verbal place of heart centered vision.
